Diphenylphosphinic Acid acts as a reagent in the preparation of the HIV-Attachment Inhibitor BMS-663068 via Friedel-Crafts acylation/hydrolysis and amidation. Diphenylphosphinic Acid is used as an active ingredient in the preparation of highly efficient flame-retardant melanine salt (DPPMA). It also functions as a reagent for the asymmetric pilot-scale synthesis of TV-45070, a chiral spiro-ether that has a potential for topical pain therapy.
