主要用于羊毛的毛条、毛线、毛毯染色，也可用于蚕丝、锦纶的染色，宜采用后媒法。经乙酸铬预处理的羊毛织物可用本品直接印花。该品还可用于染皮革及用作颜料。该品是酸性媒介染料中较艳亮的品种，匀染性好，但染浅色和日晒牢度较差，一般用于染中等以上的蓝色或与酸性媒介深黄 GG，桃红 3BM、灰 BS 等拼色。
